If you’ve missed a payment on your loan, mortgage or credit card (or if you know you’re about to) or if you’re struggling with your current account or overdraft, please tell us as soon as possible so we can support you.

Please only answer ‘Yes’ if you’ve already missed a payment on a loan, credit card or mortgage, you’re overdrawn with no overdraft limit or you’re over an agreed overdraft limit already. Otherwise, please select ‘No’

How to pay

You can pay using your mobile app. Select the loan account you’ve missed a payment for and then choose the option ‘Pay off arrears’.

You can also pay via Anytime Banking by selecting ‘Pay credit card’ on the right-hand side of your credit card account info. You can click the button below to log in.

You can make this payment through your mobile app: Log into the NatWest app and tap on the account you want to transfer the money from, then ‘make a transfer’ and select your overdraft account.


You can also do this via Anytime Banking by selecting “Make a payment” on the right hand side of your current account information.

Citizens Advice
Citizens Advice are a national charity and network of local charities who offer confidential advice online, over the phone, and in person. They offer free, impartial, independent advice on debt, benefits, housing, legal matters, employment and general consumer advice.

Money Helper
MoneyHelper brings together the support and services of three government-backed financial guidance providers: the Money Advice Service, the Pensions Advisory Service and Pension Wise. They offer guidance online, over the phone and face-to-face providing support on debt, how to reduce spending and build up savings. They also offer help on redundancy, relationship breakdown or bereavement and how to find out about extra benefits and entitlements.

StepChange are a charity who offer free, flexible debt advice using an online debt advice tool or by speaking to someone.

Shelter help people facing urgent housing issues give advice, information and provide support.

National Debt Line
National Debt Line are an independent debt advice charity run by the Money Advice Trust. They offer free and confidential advice on debt solutions, dealing with bailiffs, creditors, credit score problems, court action and cost of living.
