Our Rooster Card subscription offer is free for Ulster Bank customers
Give your kids a head start with the Rooster prepaid debit card. This subscription usually costs £19.99 a year or £1.99 a month but Ulster Bank customers get up to three cards for free.
- Set limits, make top ups and get real time spend notification via the Rooster money app.
- Spend with Apple and Google Pay on selected devices if your child is 13+.
- Choose from a range of Rooster card designs. Some card designs may incur a fee.
To be eligible for this offer you must be a Ulster Bank customer, over 18, a UK resident registered for Mobile or Anytime Banking with kids aged between 6-17. T&Cs apply (PDF, 100KB). Other fees may apply.

Opening a current account is an important step towards independence for any child. The Adapt account means you can give them their first taste of managing their own money safely and securely.
- Available for children and teens aged between 11 and 17.
- Free kid's current account with a contactless kid's debit card.
- You won't pay any regular, set fee to have this account.
This account is available to 11-17 year olds who are UK residents. 11-15s must apply with a parent or guardian who has an Ulster current account.
