What transactions can be carried out at a Cash & Deposit Machine (CDM)?
To make it easier for you to bank with us, there are Cash & Deposit Machines (CDMs) in some branches. These work as normal cash machines, but also let you do some key transactions:
- Pay in notes and cheques.
- Pay in up to 50 notes (a £3,000 daily limit and a £24,000 annual limit applies to cash deposits, learn more about cash limits).
- Pay in up to 50 cheques.
- Some CDMs will accept coins, and let you pay in up to 1,000 coins loose and mixed.
- Pay bills.
- Transfer funds between accounts up to £4,999.99.
Cash deposits to Ulster Bank accounts will clear instantly, and all other transactions will be processed in the same timescales as if paid in at the branch counter.
Natwest and Royal Bank of Scotland customers can use CDMs at either NatWest or Royal Bank of Scotland branches regardless of their home brand. The only exception to this is 3rd party bill payments using an away branch debit card (ie, customers cannot use a Royal Bank of Scotland debit card to pay a bill at a CDM in a NatWest branch or vice versa).
CDMs can also provide 'image receipts' - these give you an image of each cheque and pay-in slip you have deposited, along with a detailed breakdown.
You can also see a full list of transactions you can do at an ATM or CDM here.
