What is a low balance alert?

The low balance alert is a useful reminder for when your balance drops below a certain level set by you.

We will check your balance each morning at around 6am. If your balance is below the amount set by you the alert will be triggered.

The alert will be sent by text message to the mobile phone number that we have on our records. Depending on network and whether your phone is on, you should receive the alert shortly after 8am on weekdays and 10am on weekends.

Only one alert will be sent when the balance falls below the trigger level you have set. The balance will need to return above the trigger level and then fall below it again for another low balance alert to be triggered.

The easiest way to amend your alert preferences is in the 'Alerts' section of Anytime Internet Banking. You can also manage your alerts using telephone banking.
