Taking out cash with Get Cash

Get Cash using the Ulster Bank app

Your mobile app has a function called Get Cash. This lets you take out cash when you don't have your card but need money - great for people who accidently leave their cards at home.

What you'll need

Your mobile app

A minimum of £10 available in your account

In order to Get Cash you will need to generate a code through your app to use at an ATM

Your step-by-step guide:

  1. 01

Log into the Ulster Bank app and select the current account ‘Get Cash’ is linked to.

  2. 02

Select ‘Get Cash’ from the list.

  3. 03

Select an amount between £10-£130 (in multiples of 10).

If the available balance on your Ulster Bank account is less than £10, or if your debit card is no longer active, the 'Get Cash' facility will not be available to you and the button will not appear on your Mobile Banking app.

  4. 04

    Click on ‘Create cash code’.

  5. 05

Click on ‘Reveal code’ to receive your six-digit ‘Get Cash’ code. You can send your code to a phone contact by selecting ‘Share’, or if you have changed your mind select ‘Cancel code’.

  6. 06

Go to any Ulster Bank Northern Ireland, NatWest, Easycash or Tesco cash machine, press ‘enter’ and then follow the on-screen instructions for emergency cash.

  7. 07

Your ‘Get Cash’ withdrawal will be shown in your transactions.

Note: If the code expires before you withdraw the cash then the funds will re-credit your account within 24 hours
