We understand how important it is for you to be able to access your funds wherever and whenever. Our Mastercard Debit Card will allow you to withdraw up to £1,500 a day, giving you the peace of mind that you can access your funds when you need it most.

Protection for your purchases

If you use your contactless Debit Card to purchase goods or services and they fail to arrive or are damaged, the service is not provided or the retailer has gone out of business, we may be able to help recover the payment if your attempts with the retailer have been unsuccessful.

Mobile Debit payments

You can use Apple Pay and Google Pay™ for payments with your phone, making it easier for those quick transactions.

Here are some things you need to know before applying:

  • To apply for a debit card, you must be an authorised signatory on the related account.
  • The application form must be authorised in line with your mandate. For instance, if your mandate states that two people must sign, you must include two authorised signatories on the form. 
  • The authorised signatories will receive a request through Adobe to electronically sign the form.
  • If you need support understanding or updating your authorised signatories/bank mandate, visit the Manage your signatories hub.
  • Only 4 cardholders are permitted per Business current account.

We’ll process your application within five working days of receiving it. We will only receive the request once all authorised signatories have signed the form. 

If your application is successful we’ll send your card and PIN out separately within 3-5 working days. If we need any further information or encounter any issues, we’ll notify you via text message. 

Fees and charges

We will charge a Non-Sterling Transaction Fee of 2.65% of the value of the transaction.

If you ask for the transaction to be converted into pounds sterling at the point of sale or withdrawal, we wont charge a Non-Sterling Transaction Fee, however, the transaction handler may charge you a separate fee.

Foreign Exchange Rates

Daily debit card foreign exchange rates are set by Mastercard excluding cash withdrawals at an Ulster Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland or NatWest cash machine in the Republic of Ireland which are set by Ulster Bank.
